JenniferJennifer was always hoping to be a multitasking celebrity. As a child, she enjoyed a variety of musical styles, including Afro-Caribbean rhythms like salsa, merengue and bachata. She also enjoyed mainstream music like pop hip-hop, rap and R&B. Even though she loved films, music also intrigued her. Her greatest influence was Rita Moreno musical, West Side Story (1961). At 5, Jennifer began taking singing and dancing lessons. Jennifer was also entertainer and Catholic schoolgirl, was a student for eight years at Holy Family Catholic Elementary School located in The Bronx. After a four year stay, she graduated from Preston High School, an all-girls preparatory school. When she was at school, Jennifer was an amazing athlete who played in track and field and tennis. Her entire life was growing up in a house with two stories in the Castle Hill neighborhood. Jennifer moved out of the house when she reached the age of 18 and moved into with her parents. At this point, Lopez worked at a law firm , while taking dancing gigs at night.
