Her achievements as a child performer in America (which we call Maureen O'Hara today) would have definitely put her into the child-prodigy category. However, for a child from Irish origin, and surrounded by gifted parents and a loving family, these were very natural traits. Maureen was welcomed into this caring haven on the 17th of August 1920 located in Ranelagh (a suburb of Dublin), Ireland. Marguerita FitzSimons was a gifted contralto.
