Maureen Denise McCormick was born on August 5 1956 at Woodland Hills California the youngest and only daughter of Richard McCormick and Irene McCormick. Her mother was at home and also mother to her children. She has three older brothers: Michael Dennis and Kevin. McCormick began singing and dancing from a young age, and often performed puppet shows in front of the children from her neighborhood. At the age of six, McCormick older, she was crowned an award in the Baby Miss San Fernando Valley pageant. Pat Domigan at Jack Wormser Agency called and asked if she'd like to go into show business. McCormick got her first big role when she got a part in the commercial for television that was broadcast in 1964 of Mattels newest baby doll Baby Pattaburp. She subsequently starred in the role of Chatty Cathy in a commercial which was later adapted for the show Wind It up and It's Broken by The La Jolla Playhouse. The Brady Bunch McCormick won a 1969 audition from 1200 kids to be the youngest of three twins on The Brady Bunch TV show The Brady Bunch, starring Florence Henderson as a newlywed with Robert Reed. The series lasted 5 years. In her memoir Heres the Story: Surviving Marcia Brady and Finding My True Voice released in 2008, McCormick revealed that during the fifth season, she was close to losing her virginity to her screen co-star and brother Barry Williams. He was 19. She was just 16. The woman said it might have been feasible, but we never had the right moment to make the decision.
