Annie Lennox

Annie Lennox was born in Aberdeen Scotland on December 25 1954. Dorothy Farquharson is her mother as is Thomas Allison Lennox, father. Lennox studied flute, piano as well as harpsichord at Royal Academy of Music London for three years throughout the 70s. Lennox made it through on a student's stipend, and worked part-time in order to earn a living. Lennox, while studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London, was unhappy with her performance compared to that of her peers. She started to think about other options. Lennox was initially an instrument player in the band Dragons Playground. However, she left shortly before New Faces, the I.T.V. talent contest. The main part of her role was the singer of The Tourists from 1977 until the year 1980. As part of this group, she was introduced to Dave Stewart. Together they would form The Eurythmics pop duo. Then, Lennox began to work on her first solo album Diva and it was released in the year 1992. Both commercially as well as critically it was a huge achievement. Nostalgia Lennoxs sixth album as a solo artist came out in the month of October, 2014. The C.D. contains a collection of Lennoxs favorite blues and soul tracks from her early years. Lepidoptera was recorded by Lennox on May 19, 2019. The collection consisting of four tracks improvised. The E.P. The E.P. is her first solo album, and is a sequel to the art installation she made at Massachusetts Museum of Contemporary Art called Now I Let You go... Annie Lennox is a Scottish artist and singer born on the 25th of December 1954. The Tourists were a new-wave group who had some recognition in the 1970s. Later, Lennox was joined by fellow singer-songwriter Dave Stewart to form the pop duo Eurythmics. Lennox began her own solo career when she released her first album Diva in the year 1992. It was the basis of many hits songs such as Walking through the Broken Glass. Medusa the 1995 studio album, features covers of songs such as No More I Love Yous as well as A Whiter Shade of Pale. Her solo albums include six studio and compilation albums.
